The Climate

The climate of the Dominican Republic is tropical. The temperature in the shade varies around 30 degrees in summer, and 20 to 26 degrees in winter.

However:

The local currency is the Dominican pesos (RD$), but the US dollar (US$) is accepted in tourist areas.
